Behind the Scenes:

November 12th 2005 - By Jhanvi Motla

Everybody wants to know what happens 'behind the scenes' of the making of anything new and we thought that we'd be nice enough to give you a special edition of our last class (12th November). We were told that we were going to make an online magazine and we were very excited about it.

First we decided to choose a name for it and we thought of ELS Express. We also thought it would be fun to give our class a name as well, and we decided to call ourselves Shrieky Saturday. Can you guess why???

Then came the selection of articles. We decided each of us would be in charge of a particular section. Here’s the list:

Cookery: Sneha Shah

Current affairs / news: Sanaa Garg

Entertainment - Rishabh Poddar and Jhanvi Motla

Environment - Muskaan Goyal

Movie news - Avnish Barjatya

Music - Abhinav Subranamian and Dhruv Mehta

Reviews: : Jahnvi Vaidya said she would do book reviews,  and the film reviews will be covered by Avnish in his Movie News section

Sports - Aditya Shah and Yash Agarwal

Travelling - Anushka  Doshi and Ankita Sukthankar

Technology and Gadgets - Mihir Sheth and Aditya Vivek

That's all for now. Look out for the next update.

November 19th: By Anushka Doshi and Jahnvi Vaidya

On Saturday November 19th 2005 we, the children of Shrieky Saturday went bananas. We were designing our website. Normally this would take 10 minutes, but our very lazy and noisy class took an hour to decide our template. Everyone was more concerned about the colour than the material that was going to be put on the website!

Finally, we voted, but ended up having a tie. As usual, we girls chose the NICER colour (much better than the boys!) On further thought we asked Ms Madhulika for her advice. We decided on an ugly colour which most of the girls totally opposed, but we were promised that we could change the colour later, so we agreed to compromise !
